Before you go: deleting your account is permanent. Your playlists, liked songs, uploads and AI creations (My Dhoons) can’t be recovered, and any remaining credits will be lost. Save any songs you want to keep first.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open the Apni Dhoon app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- Tap your profile, then open Settings.
- Scroll to Account and tap Delete account.
- Read the summary and confirm. You’ll be signed out on all devices.
Don’t see Delete account? Update the app to the latest version from Google Play, or use Option 2 below.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, or you’ve uninstalled it, email us from the email address linked to your Apni Dhoon account:
- Use the subject “Delete my Apni Dhoon account” and include the email address of your account.
- If you signed in with Google, send the request from that Google email address.
- We may ask you to confirm the request from your account email before we delete anything, to protect you from someone else deleting your account.
- We’ll confirm within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What’s deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently delete the following within 30 days:
- Your account: email address, display name, password hash, Google account link and profile picture link.
- Your profile and preferences: app language, music languages, genres, moods and notification settings.
- Your library: liked songs, playlists you created (including public ones) and saved items.
- Your listening history and search history.
- Your AI creations: prompts, lyrics, titles, generation settings and records, and the generated audio and artwork files.
- Your uploads: audio, artwork and song details.
- Your credit balance and credit history.
- All sign-in sessions and tokens, plus in-app notifications.
What’s kept, and for how long
We keep a small amount of data where we need it for security or legal reasons, or where it no longer identifies you:

Songs or links you shared earlier will stop working once deletion is complete. Copies that other people downloaded or saved outside Apni Dhoon are beyond our control.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- Creations and uploads: delete individual songs from My Dhoons or your uploads in the app.
- Playlists and likes: delete playlists or unlike songs at any time.
- Search history: clear recent searches from the Search screen.
- Anything else, such as your listening history: email and tell us what you want removed.
