Is Apni Dhoon free?
Yes, the app is free to download, and you can browse, search and listen without paying. Creating AI songs uses credits. New accounts get free starter credits to try it out.
How do credits work?
Credits depend on song length: currently 1 credit for every 15 seconds, up to 150 seconds (10 credits) per song. The app shows the exact cost and asks you to confirm before anything is charged. If a creation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.
Do I need an account to listen?
No. You can browse, search and listen as a guest. You’ll need a free account to like songs, make playlists, keep a library and create AI songs.
Which languages are supported?
Apni Dhoon supports Hindi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, Nepali, English and more, and you can write prompts in any script or a mix like Hinglish. How many songs are available, and how good the AI vocals sound, varies by language. We keep improving both.
Are the AI songs mine? Can I share them?
Your Dhoons are private by default, and you can share them whenever you like. Under our Terms, you may use the songs you create, including commercially, as long as you follow the law and our rules.
Some honest caveats: AI output isn’t guaranteed to be unique, and in some countries AI-generated works may not be protected by copyright. Don’t use a song in a way that suggests a real artist made it.
Can I make a song that sounds like a famous singer?
No. To protect artists, we don’t allow prompts that imitate real singers or copy existing copyrighted songs. Describe the vibe instead, like genre, mood, instruments and tempo, and the AI will create something original.
Is it available on iPhone?
Apni Dhoon is available on Android through Google Play right now. We’d love to bring it to more platforms.
