ख़ाली गूँज (Khali Goonj)

I still make chai for two each day,

Then watch your cup just fade away.

The TV's on, a blurry light,

Just trying to get through one more night.

Your old grey hoodie's on my chair,

I trace your name into the air.

Our playlist just came on shuffle,

My quiet world is now in trouble.

Everywhere I look, I see a sign,

Of a little world that once was mine.

Oh, the echo of your name!

Is the only thing that stays!

In this quiet, empty space,

Just a memory of your face!

[Male] My phone lit up, I held my breath,

[Female] Just a food app, nothing else.

[Male] A stupid hope that won't give in,

[Female] Don't know where I should begin.

Oh, the echo of your name!

Is the only thing that stays!

In this quiet, empty space,

Just a memory of your face!

We built this home up brick by brick,

Now the silence makes me sick.

Every song and every street,

Plays our story on repeat.

Oh, the echo of your name!

Is the only thing that stays!

In this quiet, empty space,

Just a memory of your face!

Just an echo...

...of your name.
